Jarrow Formulas SAMe 400 provides 400mg of pure S-adenosylmethionine (from 800mg of SAMe tosylate disulfide) per tablet. It is a natural product, produced through microbiological fermentation and processed without the use of chemical solvents. This process ensures high retention (68-80%) of the biologically active form (S,S) of the molecule, compared to the biologically inactive form (R,S).

• SAMe methylation reactions contribute to the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine, which is a critical component of cell membranes and gray matter of the brain. In addition, it participates in the formation and metabolism of neurotransmitters, supporting the maintenance of a balanced psychological mood.
• SAMe supports the normal production of healthy connective tissue. Through the process of sulfation, it contributes to the formation of sulfated glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), such as glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate, which are the basic building blocks of joint cartilage.
• SAMe 400 supports the synthesis of glutathione (GSH). Glutathione is vital for the body's antioxidant defenses and for normal liver function, including the detoxification process (Phase II).

To ensure maximum biological activity, it is prepared under conditions of low temperature and humidity. At the same time, it utilizes the patented enteric coating EnteroGuard®. This coating resists stomach acids and disintegrates in the less acidic environment of the upper intestine, allowing optimal absorption of the ingredients. The tablets are packaged in individual aluminum blisters for ultimate protection and stability of the product. The formulation is suitable for vegans and gluten-free.
